A smart collar necessarily handles data about a place and a routine, so the finished policy has to be specific about each kind. The categories it needs to cover:

• Location data from the collar, including location history and its retention period.
• Activity and rest data recorded by the collar’s sensors.
• The safe-zone boundaries an owner draws, which describe a home address.
• Account details: name, email, and the dog’s profile.
• Payment details, and which processor handles them.
• App and device diagnostics.

To be drafted. Must state the purpose for each category above, the legal basis where one is required, and whether any of it trains models or informs product development.

To be drafted. Must name the processor categories Tobi relies on — cellular network, mapping, hosting, payments, analytics, support — and state plainly whether location data is ever sold or shared for advertising.

To be drafted. Needs a retention period per category, and what happens to location history when an account closes or a membership lapses.
